Now this is a local joint that lives up to the legend. Whenever I have been out of the south any length of time, the Waysider always makes me happy to be back home. If you get to eat southern veggies and corn bread on a regular basis, they may be taken for granted. But when you just have to have peas and corn bread, no place does it better.

Great!. Food was hot and fresh. It made up having to wait a while for it. Our server was awesome though and continued to check up on us. You get what you pay for.

Really yummy, but overpriced.. The food is delicious. Home cooking with a little bit of a twist. Service can be slow, but usually because they are swamped with customers. I wouldn’t say the service is bad, though. We only go every once and a while because it is pricey for breakfast food.

Not worth the hype. You’ll get a better reward for time spent in line going to Rama Jama’s next to the stadium.

Simply incredible. If you are ever in Tuscaloosa, this is a must-eat before you leave. Everything on the menu is fantastic, you can’t go wrong. The biscuits are to die for.

Same as always!. Used to go to the Waysider in college in the mid 70’s. Was back in Tuscaloosa this weekend and made a return visit on Saturday morning. Was seated quickly at the last table that was open. The waiter told us later it was Coach Bryant’s table. Was served quickly. Food was good as breakfast goes. The biscuits and honey were as I remembered them – great! It’s good to know that some things don’t change.
