Yuck!. Some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. The tortillas were actually slimy. We will stave before we set food there again.
Bye Bye Mexican Pie…. The San Marcos Mexican Restaurant name has migrated around the area to and from various locations over the years and for many years was a favorite for acceptable Tex-Mex dishes and at reasonable prices. They opened in Wetumpka some years ago and we have been frequent patrons through that period including the Indian Casino diggings and obstruction of highway 231 to create another intersection on US 231 that is unwanted, not needed, and should have been routed to the other entrance off 231. It seems the Casino always comes first for the city of Wetumpka even though they don’t (at least officially) contribute much back to the Wetumpka community from the Millions they rake in weekly… but that’s another unpleasant story. Bottom line in our last four or five visits the salsa has become pepper flavored tomato juice and the food has been progressively more tasteless with each visit. We won’t waste time or money at San Marcos anymore as they apparently aren’t able to work their way through this more recent challenge of putting a flavorful product on the table anymore.I would not recommend San Marcos or any of the Mexican Restaurants in Wetumpka anymore.
