Less than average BBQ. We ordered BBQ to go for work and I really didn’t like their BBQ. I got a pulled pork sandwich and there was barely any sauce on it. What it did have on it was a little chunky and tasted like ketchup. I wasn’t impressed. We won’t be back again.
Best BBQ. Smokin’ S has catered more than a couple events for us in the past two years, and they are always pleasant to work with. Tom and Stacey are always available to answer questions and have reasonable prices. The food is just as delicious at their restaurant location. Definitely try the banana pudding!
This Is IT!. I have finally discovered real BBQ in the Montgomery area and it has been under my nose since I was a child. Local BBQ cooked right, long and slow in a cramped shack, served with a slice of white bread. I’ve been to Chris’s in Prattville, Jim and Nicks and Varsity BBQ in Montgomery. I’m even comparing this place to the best jerk chicken BBQ from Island Delight. This place is the real deal people. Drive out of your way for real BBQ. You will make up for the money you spend on gas by the money you save on the menu prices, believe me. Their lunch rib special schools every special that ever was. It’s all about the oil cooking out of the fat nice and slow so that all is left of the fat is gelatin- and that’s what makes it soft and tender/melty. You can’t really find that in a spare rib anywhere else in town. Also, can’t go wrong with the shredded butt.
