When Bettola first started out it was small. they owned the place next door that was a charcuterie style restaurant. At that time Bettola was fabulous. My husband loved their spaghetti bolognese and lasagna. Their pizza was great too. When Bettola expanded and took over the place next door (not sure why), they took off a lot from their original menu. Been back twice since. Not good service and food is only sub par. Not sure what happened.
I liked the decor of this place very much, both inside and outside. The sandwich was good. I did not expect the place to be order at the counter kind of restaurant, but it wasn’t a long wait in line.
This place is amazing. Even though we had to wait awhile, it was well worth the wait! The house salad, fries and burger were all delicious and my husband loved his burger too! I would totally go back and wait an hour to eat there again!
Above average food does not make up for absolutely terrible service. Never going back. Our dinner lasted three hours when we intended to be there for half that time. Rude waitress, orders did not come out together or on time.
Early Valentine celebration at Bettola did not disappoint! The service was great and the food was amazing. My husband and I both ordered pasta dishes which were fantastic. This was my first time for dinner at Bettola but I’ve been several times for lunch and the pizza is great.
By far some of the best Italian in Birmingham. Fresh ingredients make all the difference to me. Add a creative flair to the menu and it is now my favorite even over Bottega( my other favorite Italian)
Top shelf as always. Sat at the bar tonight. Wendy, Becca & Michelle took outstanding care of us. This is one of the best & most consistent restaurants in The Ham…bar none. We love the authenticity of this true Italian gem. As someone that has had the opportunity to visit Italy I can truly say this place is the real deal. My wife & I love the bolognese when it is available but everything is truly outstanding. From the house made pastas & sauces to the fresh made bread & pizza pies you can’t go wrong. Well thought out menu & wine list with a solid beer selection also. Don’t forget dessert…great also. Oh yeah, house made meats too! Try the bone marrow w/ a shot for an appetizer…unreal. Bottom line…make this a consistent stop as we do. Well done chef & staff…well done.
