Best breakfast ever!! Love this place
I love calling in Togo orders for breakfast! If u got a man who can eat get the o-lineman special he will get full. Their breakfast reminds me of my grandfathers cooking but would suggest to them to get a phone that they can hear on.
Cannot get eggs anyway you want them. Menu says two eggs any way. I ordered two poached eggs. We don’t have poached eggs. Say what? How hard is it to poach an egg?! If I EVER go back there, which is not likely, i just mught order my eggs soft boiled or coddled. One of the two pieces of bacon was good. OH! And when I asked for some butter, they gave me some mystery whipped spread. What other mysterious ingredients are they using?
Food was okay, not amazing, and not especially cheap. Staff were generally in a bad mood. Sounds from other reviews like that’s an issue here.
I love bogues I’ve been coming for about 18 years. I do miss the old building. Hashbrowns are amazing as are the pancakes.
Birmingham institution. Mom and I had breakfast here a couple of weeks ago and it was just as good as I remember from when I lived in Southside and ate here on a fairly regular basis. I’ve had breakfast here many times but had lunch for the first time today. It’s cafeteria style. The meats are okay. With the exception of the green beans, which taste like the came straight from the can, the veggies were great–far better than average. The servers behind the line are friendly and the waitresses manning the tables are equally friendly and quick with a refill. Bogues is a nice little eatery.
Oh yes! Great pancakes, real smoked sausage, and Ella make this place my first option for breakfast.
