Something has gone terribly wrong here. Came in a couple of months ago and food was good. Was back in the other night and it was horrible plus expensive. Noticed crowd was down too. Too bad. Such a cute place.
We were on a Saturday journey to try a few new places. This will be one we return to!! Nice beer selection , friendly staff and great oysters. Oysters were small but clean , fresh and tasted great. Hubby had the wing special for game day. Grilled and tossed with a honey Bbq sauce on a bed of arugula. Service and staff was top notch. Great atmosphere and decor with almost a steam punk feel. Can’t wait to return.
If I was just rating the food I’d give them a 5, easy. Very tasty burgers. Tasty Oysters Rockefeller. My friend who had the mussels liked the sauce so much he asked for extra toast to sop it all up when the mussels were all gone. But the noise! this is a happening place, and in my younger days that would have been a plus. Now that I like to have a conversation with dinner, that’s more of a minus. I freely admit that this is subjective; being loud isn’t a bad thing in and of itself. Lots of folks aren’t bothered by that. But I’m among the folks who are. Get here early or be prepared to wait for a table. (This was true for a Saturday lunch as much as for dinner).Servers are all friendly and unlike a lot of places they actually have a parking lot but again, get there early or be prepared to park down the street and hoof it.
I wasn’t totally blown away by this restaurant. Small space, but we didn’t have to wait too long on a table for two. Service was ok, but could have been much more attentitve. Did not come to the table when our food had been delivered to check on it. The food took a very long time to come out, with a small error, but it was very tasty once it came out. My drink was watered-down, but not terrible. This just isn’t a place I’ll be rushing back to.
Great burger place and great atmosphere. Only downside is the wait time. If you don’t get there when they open you might be waiting for close to 2 hours.
I was surprised by the overall rating of 2.9 but then all the written reviews were really high so I’m not so sure why the low overall. Myself, I liked it, a lot. The atmosphere is cool and funky. They have good local draft list and decent craft bottle. The mussels were so delicious! Spicy and rich. I had a bunless el guapo which is chorizo, manchengo, fried jalapeos, and a chipotle mayo. Two patties by the way. My husband had he Italian stallion and said it was the best burger he ever had and the one bite I had I can see why. This place is a solid 3.5 on its way to a 4b
This place is so worth a visit!! My hubby and I stopped by for a meal. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in years!! I had the B&B … With bacon and blue cheese crumbles. Delicious The raspberry lemondrop was amazing. Overall the atmosphere was really cozy and casual. Don’t be hesitant to sit at the bar! We had a blast at the bar… Avoided an hour wait list.
