Pretty good fresh seafood at moderate prices thus far inland. Oysters on the half shell smelled fresh and were tasty–they didn’t give you an extra oyster lagniappe like they do at some places here that shuck em for you. I had their fried shrimp and they were really good and hot–not heavily breaded either so tasted nice. Their cocktail sauce is nicely spiced without being too hot. They were slammed for space–everyone wants to try it out. Liquor and such is a draw. Give them a try–not fancy or rock bottom–just a nice middle of the road seafood place that won’t rip you off or shoot you wallet/budget!

My co-worker suggested eating lunch here today, as I had no clue they were here. Extremely glad we did. Got here at 11:30 a.m. to discover they were already full inside. Opted to eat outside, which wasn’t bad considering they have several fans outside and the perimeter has mist sprayers. Got the fried shrimp & fish basket. Our waiter suggested baked beans as a side. He said they were delicious. He wasn’t wrong. The entree also came with shrimp slaw, hush puppies, and a corn fritter. I think they only give you one just to tease you. Almost made me order extras, as it was fantastic. My coworker also had their seafood gumbo and said he thinks it was the best he ever had. Our waiter was excellent, and I wish I had remembered his name. Location is very close to my 85 year old mom’s house. She loves seafood, and I can certainly see us taking her here for Sunday lunch very often. Try it. You won’t be disappointed!

I went to Shrimp Basket about a month ago. I had the oysters on the 1/2 shell (a dozen). They were delicious. I also had the shrimp tacos. I loved them too. The food was better than I expected. The only disappointment was no alcohol beverage. I was told they didn’t have their license. The only reason I haven’t been back. The service could have been better. I had a server (older woman) who was training someone ( a younger woman), she was a bit too bossy to the younger woman. I had to repeat my order a few times even though the younger woman tried to tell her what I wanted.Today, I searched for a phone number even called 411 but had no luck. I want to take my sister there for lunch but want to make sure they have their liquor license. All in all, I enjoyed it.

I’ve been to the Shrimp Basket three times now. On each visit the food was very good as was the service. My favorite is the shrimp and oyster combination. The seafood is fresh and perfectly cooked. The service, quick and friendly. Each time I’ve been it was like a mini vacation to the beach. It’s just a fun, friendly place with really good food.

Went Tuesday early evening to avoid the rush. Seated quickly but downhill from there. First they took too long to take our order. Then they brought out the wrong order to our table. When we did get our order the waitress forgot the crab cake appetizers. Finally got the crab cakes they were fried hot but not that great. The shrimp basket had greasy rubbery shrimp. I have had better at captain D’s. Waitress poured unsweet tea to top off my sweet tea. Hush puppies are too sweet. I doubt I’ll go back.
