Brisket dip. I got a calzone there last night and they told me about a new sandwich that they had not yet added to the menu called the brisket dip. I had already ordered so I decided to go back and try it tonight. They have really outdone themselves this time. Sliced tender brisket, fresh bread and mozzarella, provolone and cheddar cheese. Also comes with au jus which is amazing. Comes with fries or potato salad as well. Try it if you haven’t already. Also visited their liquor store and they had a good selection of local beers. They are taking credit cards again as well.
Good Delivery Option. I’ve been in search of a pizza delivery place, and gave 88th Street a try after reading reviews on here.On a Friday night, I ordered a Western Barbecue Chicken and it arrived within 5 minutes of the promised time (a rarity in Anchorage). The pizza crust isn’t as thick as pan pizza but is thicker than thin crust, and has a good flavor and texture. The toppings were evenly distributed and good quality.All in all it was a good experience that I plan to repeat.
Great pizza. One of the best pizza places in Anchorage in my opinion. Fair prices as well. Just wish they took cards other than amex!
Cuddlerain doesn’t know what s/he is talking about, sorry that they don’t use fake cheese like pizza hut to make it stick better on the pie better.. The pizza is amazing! I’ve tried it a few times and everytime it is better than I remember.. Also just an FYI for the hater, you can only vote once on a resturant per account.. So one person cannot blow up the reviews unless they want to go threw the hassle of creating multiple accounts just for a single vote.. Unlikely in my opinion.. So if you like a nice thin crust pizza with high quality ingredients, try 88th street pizza!!!
Was not so great. Pizza came, Delivery kid was rude asking for tip when we already added it to the bill, did he want another??? not sure but ignored the commet. Pizza sucked…was dryed out and cheese fell right off like water on ice. calzones were amazing though 😉 Not sure what the hype about the pizza is.. second time my friend ordered to try..he tossed the pizza and i didn’t even get to try..guess the hype is not beliveable here and FAR too many 1 reviewers….kind of makes me wonder if that 1 fan is throwing a billion likes it on it.26 Oct, 2011Good food. Good is great, but pizza itself is over credited. When we got it, cheese fell right off and it was burnt on the bottom all around.
The truth FINALlY. For years we have been searching for an honest pizza joint that will admit their Italian sausage is beef and not pork. My husband even got into an argument with Milanos/also owns Spartas/ because the guy said it was pork. It was seasoned ground beef.When I called 88th Pizza, they admitted it was lean ground beef. Because of their honesty we opted for Canadian bacon instead. They will have our business for being honest.I just don’t understand why they and other pizza places can’t do pork. I miss NY Pizza.
Good pizza, delivers promptly, but does not take credit cards.
