They try to call themselves a high end burger joint but as soon as you use pump cheese on your frozen fries, you lose that title. Ten bucks for a burger that should be five. Overpriced and pretentious, theres many better burger joints in anchorage that serv better food and are better priced to choose from.
Ever since they opened my wife and I have been regular customers, always takeout and always from the sears mall location. I agree that their food is a bit on the high side based on other options that are in the same area, I’m sure ownership would argue otherwise, but the fact remains, $40 bucks at any of the other surrounding alternatives will certainly get you more for your money and sometimes that makes the difference. My reason for jumping ship is that it seems to me since they opened the 2nd location the sears mall location has been left for dead. The quality is noticeably suffering and now the store hours don’t seem to matter anymore. I have stopped by 4 times in the last month to be met with locked doors at least 20 – 30 minutes before posted closing time, and the one time I did get in the food was horrible, under cooked fries, order was all wrong. It’s just sad, for a little while they had something to be proud of.
