As always, I ordered my son’s birthday cake directly with Liz, the owner. I went in at 3PM to pick it up, and was told by her employee that the cake wasn’t ready. After going back and forth between me in the front and Liz in the back (because Liz couldn’t bother to come talk to me herself) she guaranteed that she would deliver the cake by 5:00PM. 5PM came and went..no cake and no phone call. I called Liz a dozen times, and she didn’t pick up any of my calls. I left her voicemails, and she STILL hasn’t bothered to contact me and at least apologize for not coming through. There is no excuse for her not contacting me! She has my number, my email and we have an open FB message thread. She could have also had her employee contact me. She is deliberately avoiding me. My son had his 8th birthday party with no birthday cake! It may just be a cake, but this is literally what you’re in business to do. I have referred many people to this bakery over the years. I was a loyal customer. It may not have been a wedding cake, but my business should be just as important as the next person. A good business owner knows the value of good customer service and should never allow anything like this to happen. Or at least have the balls to contact me and apologize. Thanks for nothing, Liz! Be weary of doing any business with her. Clearly, she doesn’t care. I will NEVER do business with Celestial Sweets Boutique again!
Got a groupon tontry this place and they have good coffee creations and their berry cake was excellent. You had better like berries though as it’s pretty packed with them. The apple crisp was great too. Full of apple flavor but not too sweet with a very interesting caramel cotton candy on top. Overall very nice desserts. Julie Griffiths
I received a sample of my wedding cake from this company and it was so awful in every way. It looked like my 11 year could have done a better job and it tasted like something straight out of a box that had been sitting on a shelf for years. When I complained they did not give me any sort of apology or refund and simply told me to go somewhere else. I highly recommend following that advice and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Went to try the cupcakes, and ended up sharing the lemon bar, Heath bar, chocolate banana peanut butter cupcake, and berry cake with family. The cake was not planned on, but recommended by the clerk. Glad we got it because it was the best thing we had (light and yummy). Everything else was a little dry or dense, or just not as flavorful as I would have expected.
7/23/15 First off the sweets and tea that we had were fine. However, the conduct of the clerk was not. She went from handling money to food without washing her hands and/or wearing gloves. As she went to tie off the top of the tea bag, she held it up to her stomach to tie it off, contaminating it. The person I was with did drop money into the tip jar, but the clerk did not thank us. Overall, not very impressed and will probably not go back.
