Won’t be returning. I wasn’t pleased w/my drink, actually severely disappointed. It was recommended by my coworker but sad to say I won’t be returning. I’m not sure how you get a mocha latte wrong but they did twice, 2 different gals. Both total sweeties but the drink wasn’t worth it! Sorry.
Not happy. This coffee shop is on my way to and from work. I used to stop by there daily, but the service and quality of product has become inexcusable. My drink, a 16oz skinny sf vanilla latte, isn’t hard to make. From this cart, I’ve received this drink in the wrong size, with whole milk, with not sf syrup, too hot (burnt milk), too cold (when I complained that the milk had been burnt the last time), with chocolate in it (making it a mocha), and WITHOUT COFFEE IN IT!!! These were all isolated incidents. This cart used to be amazing! I stopped there 2-3x daily because they made a delicious drink, but now it seems that the staff is being hired more on their ability to look perky in a drive-thru window than their ability to make an amazing cup of coffee (no offense intended, I understand that that is how much of the barista hiring is done in Anchorage, though). I understand that there are a few things to remember with my drink (that the other carts in town seem to be get down), but it shouldn’t be that difficult to make. Owner, if you read this, please hire girls that can make a good cup of coffee. If you can do that, I will be back ASAP! I am going out of my way to go to a different shop now, and I’d rather not!!
Awful Coffee Experience. I recently got a latte at Common Grounds Espresso and they completely messed up my order. I drink soymilk which cannot be heated up as hot as milk. Not only was my latte burnt, they added way to much syrup and I got bad service. When I turned back around to have them remake my order, I received nothing but a bad attitude and they wanted to charge me again for my remade drink. I will never go to Common Grounds again.
I pick up coffee here pretty much every day for everyone at work! Never had a bad drink and the service is excellent. Ashley is definitely my favorite barista, but all the girls are very friendly and capable.
Best Coffee in Anchorage!. The girls who work at this stand are amazing!! They know what my regular drink is, and call me by name. Great service, and ALWAYS good. Getting my coffee is the best part of my day!
Neat Shop. I stopped into this shop on the rebound. My long time barista disappeared and her replacement did not seem to like her job much. Common Grounds was a little out of the way but turned out to be worth it, I haven’t gone anywhere else since. Always consistent and always happy. Enjoy all you fellow coffee addicts! Just hurry in the line so I can get mine 🙂
