Best coffee in Anchorage. I’m a coffee snob from the Pacific Northwest. I haven’t found any great coffee in Anchorage, but Dark Horse is the best in town. I’ve found service to be friendly, and love spending some time on a rainy day reading the paper or using the internet. I’d recommend it–except that might make it more crowded.
Probably one of the slowest and worst coffee shops I have ever been to. Baristas were very rude and it took forever to get my coffee! I will never be back and I do not recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for good coffee. They are in the customer service buisness and should act like it!
TERRIBLE! Not only was it average coffee it took 20 minutes to get it! They had 3 people on staff and one was doing the coffee while 10 people waited for drinks! I have NEVER seen a place take that long for a drink order and I make coffee! They were rude when we asked what was taking so long and talking about customers with people in there.. Not in a good way! Will not be back and will recommend that people stay away.
Great drinks!!. This is the first place that I have ever been to that makesred bull smoothies! they are soooo good! Great for a hot dayin the summer time 🙂
One more thing. I forgot to mention, that everyone in my office has already decided that they will walk the two blocks to kaladi brothers, since it takes less time to get a cup.
LOVE!. This is my FAVORITE coffee shop in town. The baristas are FAST and well-trained. They make a dang god cup of coffee and the tea selection is lovely. The bakery items are always fresh, too. Very affordable. Very lovely employees. I can’t go downtown without stopping by to get a cup of tea now!
Great coffee and Great people!. I visit Dark Horse every morning for my coffee. They are always friendly and welcoming. There is usually a groovy tune playing and the place, although it is small, has a wonderful atmosphere. I am very happy that I found this place so close to work and home!
