All kinds of NOHORRIBLE SERVICE – consistently bad. Its a shame because their food is ok and the menu has some variety – especially for the small town of Eagle River. However, Ive seen food come out of that kitchen that is burned to a crisp (black french fries, black pizza crust). I mean, really?? How can they see that and still serve it? How are they even still in business ? LolWeve had everything from rude servers to sitting for 30-40 minutes with no service (even with employees walking by repeatedly and even when ASKING). I truly think they just wont wait on certain types of ppl and Im not sure what the magic formula is because my husband and I are clean cut and casual and always tip well. Maybe we have the smell of transplants on us. Whatever – our money spends same as everyone elses. I am completely flabbergasted by this company. I keep going there every few months in hopes that it will change, but last week was the absolute last time. After our server had walked past our table 3-4 times without acknowledging us – including waiting on the table right next to us who had been seated a good 10 minutes AFTER us – finally came up to ask us what we wanted to drink I point blank told her wed changed our minds. She could have cared less. Just said ok have a great night! Really?? 2 words: Customer Service – you have zero eagle river ale house ….
Decided to try Eagle River Alehouse despite quite a few less than stellar reviews. Despite complaints about service the wait staff was friendly and attentive. The wait for seating was short even though we went on a Saturday. The food took quite a while to come out, there were a few tables around is that were sat after us but got their and left before we got ours. We just got cheeseburgers so it wasn’t the dishes and if there was an issue with our order it wasn’t addressed by the waiter. The burgers themselves were decent, certainly the best burger I’ve ever eaten but not the worst. Portion size was generous. The fries unfortunately were greasy, soggy and overlooked. We had the mozzarella bread starter, it was good but not mind blowing and the side of marinara was skimpy and bland. Overall the experience was meh, prices are high for the quality of food delivered. Will not likely give it another chance, the cheeseburgers were the cheapest meals at $12-$15 for a half pound burger, dinner entrees ran upwards of $20 to $30+ and the quality doesn’t seem to match the asking price.
This place has amazing food. I posted a picture of their chicken bacon Ranch salad…. But the salad you must try is the Thai Chicken Salad! Best salad ever!
Lies on website. I read on their website that they delivered. However, when I called for a delivery, they told me that they don’t deliver. If they feel free to lie on their website or don’t have the resources to update their website when things change, chances are that they are as cavalier with their menu. I did like their product, but the incompetence displayed on their website will make me reconsider further purchases from them.
Don’t trust them!. They over charged me for drinks and didn’t compensate. When I brought it up basically they said that I should have asked how much the drinks would cost before ordering instead of trusting the prices on the menu. Patron beware, I think they’re intentionally misleading their customers on their drink menu.
Worst service ever. Don’t bother. Worst service every time I have been there. How it stays in business is a mystery
Service has definately improved. Matt is really out of his mind thinking he can have a resturant like Sullivans or Simon and Seaforts on top of an ale house..but the resturant below has improved greatly and I love my breakfasts and mimosas on Saturday morning…someone’s doing a great job in the kichen…food is serves MUCH quicker and very tasty.. Keep working on it
