First time visitor and loved this cafe. Everything was wonderful – the staff, the service, the food. Was with a group of 15, and we were so impressed. The presentation of the food was so nice not to see paper plates! Everything was impressive. We had homemade tomato basil soup, a variety of salads and sandwiches. ALL were excellent. I had the tuna salad sandwich w alvacado. Will definitely be back!
Great food, friendly service. Elim Cafe is one of my favorite spots in Anchorage. It doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it deserves. Everything I’ve ordered there has been excellent. The teriyaki tofu is my favorite. They somehow manage to cook the tofu so that it has a nice, smooth texture, unlike the overcooked-egg-like texture that cooked tofu often has at many restaurants. The delicious house-made teriyaki sauce makes this dish a stand-out. I’ve also enjoyed the soups, salads, drinks, and ice cream from Elim Cafe. They have a wide selection of beverages, including coffees, teas, and fruity summer drinks. Some of my favorites are the green tea chai steamer and a mandarine orange and cream soda. The service is always fast and friendly. They have free wifi and conference rooms available, which make this a great option if you’re looking for a work or study spot.
I could do this in my hotel room. If Mom microwaved everything, you will love this place. Otherwise….
