This establishment is very against legalizing marijuana and were very vocal about it. I will never spend my money here. I also believe that people who support this legalization should be aware of this before going deciding to fund such ignorance.

The pizza wasn’t very flavorful. The crust was soggy and the wait staff was slacking. Beer was really expensive and the best part about my time there was being about to draw on the table top. I will stick to Mooths Tooth if you want a good Alaskan pizza experience. Too pricey for the quality.

Have eaten here a few times, and I generally like the food. The caprese salad is good, as is the toasted garlic soup. I’ve enjoyed the pizzas I’ve tried (the Greek, hit coppa, and skinny chicken, but would have preferred the pizza cut into triangles instead of squares. My husband was not a fan, found the meatball sandwich too spicy, and the coffee although freshly brewed was awful.

Not overly impressed. We got our pizzas to go. The crust’s crispiness probably suffered for it. Pizzas were very hot and ready to go when they said they would be.1. Mozzarella knots – a modified format of a caprese salad featuring house made mozzarella. Not sure what all the raving is about. 2. Crust – I love thin crust pizza, as it allows the sauce and toppings to stand out. There is a subtle taste of butter to the crust, but you will only taste it on the thicker portions of crust where it is not heavily wood fired.3. Mushroom pizza – It is tasty, except when you get hit with a bunch of the white sauce, which overpowers the wonderful tastes of the different mushrooms.4. Greek pizza – was very tasty5. Margherita – turned out to be our preferred6. Pepperoni – a nice simple pizza. The pepperoni was a little salty, but some people like that. The price was a lot higher than I’d expect for the results. The crust was over cooked, and heavily darkened, not to the point of burnt, but not far from it.I’d go back if friends want to go, but the results weren’t comparable to wood fired restaurants in the L48.

Below average pizza and the salad was not as good as one we could have made at home. There are certainly better optionsfor pizzain Anchorage – including Pizza Hut.

The service was friendly and efficient. We ordered the meatballs, they were tasty. I ordered the Kale and Quinoa Salad and the Skinny Chicken pizza. The salad was lovely and flavorful. However, the pizza lacked flavor. It was very bland, the fresh spinach on top made it even worse, I would have preferred fresh Arugula. All in all, our experience was OK.

Depends on the time of day but food is different and in a good way. I have decided that it is best to check a place out more than once to get a real understanding of the food, service and atmosphere in order to review well. That being said, this place has better service later in the evening and I am sure it would be better earlier but there appears to be shift changes that may come into play. Not a serious problem at Fat Ptarmigan so far. Food wise, the pizza is very good and some of the appetizers are certainly worth a try. Would like more of those for the price. Lots of people go there for lunch from the offices so going during the day is going to be busy. It is right next door to Hard Rock and a few other options so is a good option for the more interesting foods to try out.
