Rude service. We had to keep waving down the waiter for refills. He would do one put never looked around the table to fill anyone else’s glass. Then because a friend showed up just before we left we were forced to pay a 20% gratuity because there were now 6 people at our table even though she didn’t order anything. I will never go back.

This was not what I was expecting – pub food- but the service and food were great! The Lasagne Bolonese and the Mud Pie were wonderful! The salads looked good – we will be back!

Hit or Miss. I like the atmosphere at Fletcher’s most. Never crowded, always a seat at the bar. The bartenders and servers are nice and attentive, my glass is never low or empty.I’ve eaten here a couple times when in Anchorage on business. The first time, back in December after Christmas, I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and a side caesar salad. It wasn’t anything special. The sauce lacked flavor and the meatballs were dry and stale tasting. I wanted to give it a second chance so I ate dinner there a couple nights ago and ordered the ratatouille ziti. It was phenomenal. Came served in a mini cast iron skillet, so be careful as everything bubbling beneath the generous layer of cheese is super hot. The flavor was amazing and the side of bread was warm and tasted fresh from the oven.

Our favorite downtown restaurant. Fletcher’s is such a hidden gem. It’s never terribly busy, the food is always fantastic, and the service is even better. Not to mention the prices are not that bad.The pizza is always delicious; it’s never a bad choice. Priced at $11-12 per pizza, it’s cheap enough to get two pizzas and two beers for just around $30. That’s a steal in Anchorage. The atmosphere is dark and similar to a smoking lounge. There’s a hint of satire if you read the captions on the menus, place mats and pictures on the walls. They don’t take themselves too seriously, but are still much more attractive than most Anchorage restaurants. The only thing I have ever been disappointed by is the desserts. For some reason their desserts are expensive but tiny. I guess you win some, you lose some. Will come back again and again.

Over priced and fake fancy inside of a fake fancy hotel. The food is good though and they make some stiff drinks.

Chop Chop Lunch. My co-workers and I love to get the Chop Salad, it is fabulous! Beware though of complimentary bread you get while waiting and the bread you get with the salad. Your ‘healthy’ lunch can turn into a carb nightmare. However, this is ok if its your cheat day!
