Nice outdoor patio, great view, food and service. In spite of the negative reviews, I wanted to meet with friends and enjoy an outdoor dining experience for lunch – and glad we chose the Millennium, Flying Machine Patio. Elsa took super good care of us, explained specials and offered tips on her favorite menu items.Three of us had the Alaskan Seafood Cob Salad and one of our party had a Club Sandwich – all were delicious. The portions were large, the ingredients fresh (both crab and shrimp). Contrary to reviews, the service and delivery of our food was very prompt. The food delivered to neighboring tables looked great, the new flooring and decor on the patio is a very nice improvement. Sitting outdoors, watching the float planes is always a pleasure and the food / service made lunch here a good value.Seeing Cap manning his station behind the Fancy Moose bar was quite reassuring as well. I can recommend the Flying Machine to both locals and friends visiting from out of town.

Good lord, whoever it was that thought $45 a plate was a fair price for meatballs, awfull fish, and fruit and cheese should be shipped off to a third world sanitarium for some good old fashioned shock therapy. My advise; slap your management, and either bring back the snow crab and waffle/omelette station, or lower your obscene prices or I will NEVER come back.
Overpriced. Even for Alaskan standards the Flying Machine is overpriced. Similiar pricing will give you a great steak downtown. The restaurant decor is nice but definitely not worth the price.
Surprised. A group of friends and I ate there recently and we were all satisfied with both the service and the quality of the food. I had the salmon and my wife had the pork chop – both of which were very good and not overpriced. Service was good, food was good.
Dirty wine glass, no ice bucket, extrely small appetizers, not worth it. Service was sloops. I give it a 5 out of 10. Much better restaurants for same price in Anchorage .
Service & food. Slow service but good food halibut dish is the best!!!!!!!
