a lot of food snobs will probably rate this place low but I have been to A LOT of restaurants and I can say that Golden Corral really delighted me. The place is a casual dining buffet style restaurant. It is casual and cheap, and it serves down to earth american food. They cook steak and ribs well, they have a decent salad bar, yummy freshly baked bread and a wide selection of desserts! Their cookies are also freshly baked! What I love about this place is that it’s not pretentious at all. Just a place to go of you’re lazy to cook at home and can’t decide what you want to eat. I’m rating it 3.5 only because I hated the plates and utensils. Even canteens in the Philippines had nicer plates and forks than what was available. But overall, the place is worth visiting again!
Average food that is overpriced. Most of the food tastes like it was made elsewhere and shipped in frozen. About the only thing that looks and tastes fresh is the salad bar, but even then the dressing is cheap discount store brand dressing.If they offered free plates of food to take with you, I would refuse. One thing that is positive is the service – always friendly and courteous.
