Dimond Branch Rocks!. Although the menu is somewhat limited, the Dimond branch of Gumbo House has some real hits on its hands. The jambalaya is hard to pass up, and is is also great value. They stuff the bowl full of chicken, sausage and shrimp along with the rice and wonderful tasting sauce. The heat is just right, not mouth numbingly hot, but present enough to build up over the course of the meal. The angel hair pasta is another hit and a fantastic deal. Again, this dish is full of chicken, sausage and shrimp on a big bed of angel hair pasta. What sets it apart though is the wonderful creamy white sauce that smothers the pasta and protein. The sauce is wonderful by itself! Add in all the other ingredients though and this is a heavenly dish! It comes with a side of garlic bread which is just perfect for mopping up some of that white sauce.Lastly the Po-boys are also a good option, and the potato salad makes a pleasant change form the usual sides too.
