This was my favorite southern place to eat when Harley owned it. He sold out and now it sucks. I went tonight and ordered my usual catfish with mac and cheese and black eyed peas. The fish was burnt to a crisp and tasted like the oil had not been changed in months. I bit into a inch long screw that was in the black eyed peas. I called the server over and told him what happened and he offered another side dish. I went with okra. It was good so I decided to get it to go. He asked if I wanted to take the fish and I said no. He asked if I didn’t like it and I said no cause it was burnt. He said sorry and then brought me the bill. I thought maybe they would at least comp my meal because I couldn’t eat the one I was given. But nope. I will never ever eat here again. If the new owner is reading this you should not play Mexican music in a southern diner. It’s weird.
Simple… My picture tells it all. Burnt hash browns. Wasn’t impress with the brisket, tasted old.

What happened?????? This use to be a decent little diner. It appears to have new owners or management running it now and they have run it into the ground.It is dirty, slow, service is with attitude.
Dirty tables, ripped seats, slow service, sloppy little restaurant.
The older blonde waitress was extremely rude!! And the chicken fried steak tasted like the meat was a little old.. Won’t be back! Sorry the paying customer is such an inconvenience to you guys! Even the table next to us thought her tone & words were rude..
EEEWWWWWW. Very dirty ,took 10 min to get sad coffee. Asked for extra holidays to the 1Tbs on my plate. Took her another 10min.to get it to me, while she spent time chatting with regulars. I told her never mind. She snottily said she would take it off the bill. Then when she brought the bill , us threw it at us. When my husband went to pay the bill she again was snotty and would not make eye contact. I should have trusted my first instinct and never sat down. And why when a place like Cafe Amsterdam doesn’t charge you for extra they do. Wow really…your so great? I think not. Run away…run fast and far.
