Uuuughh. The worst food i have ever ever eaten yuck worst service rotten customers rotten everything would not come back unless someone nuked the place first
An iconic Alaskan location. We moved away from Alaska for 6 years, and the first thing we wanted to do when we got back was go to Jitters! Friendly, attentive staff. The baristas are very good at what they do, and will get to know your likes and dislikes and offer drink suggestions that are always spot on with your tastes. If you don’t like a drink for any reason, they will make you a new one, no questions asked. They also have smoothies, italian sodas, hot coco, teas and plenty of locally made pastries, muffins, cookies (the pumpkin cookie with cream cheese frosting is devine). They serve quiche, sandwiches, oatmeal, soup, you name it. Often busy for a reason. This place is worth the visit just for the atmosphere. The framed photos on the walls, taken by locals, are all inspiring and lovely to look at. They even have frequent visitor cards that give discounts on drinks after so many are purchased. My teenagers love the free wifi.
Best coffee in Alaska
Usually, it’s ok, but their service and coffe have started to go down. Took 30 minutes to get a sandwich because the cashier didn’t put in my order and my white mocha was nit sweet and it was cold! I’m very disappointed and don’t plan on going back again.
A Place to Study with a Friendly Atmosphere. My high school experience revolved around this little coffee shop in the heart of Eagle River. Every time I was assigned a group project, our meeting spot would always be at Jitters. Their extended room has a wide range of seating. I have sat everywhere from beside the window, to a large table in the back, to sitting on one of the three couches arranged beside the fireplace. Personally, I am not a coffee-drinker, so I normally stick to getting one of their fruit smoothies, wide variety of Italian sodas, or I simply ask for a frappe with no espresso (the double-dutch is my favorite). Many of my friends indulge in one of the bagel sandwiches, I have never personally had one, but all of the ingredients look fresh and my friends say that they are excellent, despite being pricey. Some of the times I have gone to Jitters with a group and not purchased anything, with the employees being perfectly okay with potential customers sitting inside for any period of time. I have never seen any of the staff members leave the counter other than to deliver food orders or simply sit down to have a conversation with one of the frequently-visiting guests. Every time I visit, I make sure to dress in layers, otherwise I find myself uncomfortably hot, despite people propping the side door open. Occasionally, finding a parking space in the not-so-large lot can be a hassle. Nevertheless, I feel that Jitters’ welcoming atmosphere, monthly drink specials, seasonal decorations, and breakfast/lunch sandwiches make it the coffee shop in Eagle River that everyone should take time to visit.
WOW. I was kind of wowed by this place. I thought this place was a hole in the wall. I think everyone needs to check this place at least once in Eagle River. Starbucks can’t compare. Nice people and atmosphere
