Where has this place been all my life?. Seriously. All of the food I’ve tried from here has been Amazing. From their skillets to their burgers and everything in between. We live all the way over on south side and often find ourselves driving just to go pick up something from there. The prices are so good the only reason this place is still in business is because their food is to die for and people just can’t get enough of it.
Delicious!. We went to Kava House today, and had the most amazing pancakes!! Hostess was very accommodating & went above and beyond. Our server was also very attentive! Wonderful food & A Great place to eat!

Bad service. We were fans of Kava Pancake House until yesterday. We waited 30 minutes to get a table. There were empty and clean tables but not enough wait staff to seat the line of people going out the door (Sunday at noon). The waitress took far too long to take our order. We went to the restaurant for the fried rice (this is a Hawaiian -themed restaurant) and they were out of rice. After we ordered the waitress came back to say that they had rice, so we changed our order. We waited almost two hours to get our food. I think the waitress lied when she said they had rice – I think she meant that they would start cooking it. Tables around us that came in after us, got their food before us. While we waited two hours for the food, the waitress did not come and ask us if we needed anything and she did not apologize for the long wait. We never saw her until she brought the food out. The place was filthy (food all over the floor). They do not clean the floor during the day (again, another sign of lack of staff on-hand). We waited two hours for breakfast food (this was not fine dining that you might need to have patience for). I hope the owners read this and make some changes because we liked the restaurant before and disappointed that they service was terrible, they did not have rice, (akin to an Italian restaurant not having pasta), the cooks cut back on the portions as well, the place was dirty and they need to hire more people to help make run more efficiently.
Bad service, great food!. The service was terrible! Yes we did come in during lunch and the food took forever to get to our table., But once the whole place started to empty the service was still horrid and we actually had to go to the register to get a bill. The saving grace was the incredible food! The pancakes melted in your mouth, my omelette was so perfect. I will go back because the food made up for the lack of service!.

Great service friendly servers good food nice portions tastey bean and rice soup fresh salad crispy shrimp real mash potatoes who could ask for more!
