One of Anchorage’s Best. Kincaid Grill is one of my favorite places for a date night in Anchorage. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is clean and simple, and the food is some of the best in town. I have been here several times, and I am always impressed when I leave. I highly recommend the goat cheese salad (the toasted cheese is delicious!), the braised short ribs, and the cioppino.
Great!!! Loved It!!. We have been wanting to try Kincaid Grill since we arrived 5 yrs ago. I can’t believe we waited this long to come here. My husband and I decided to go on a date night and it wa a delicious meal. The service was great, the food was spectacular and we have suggested it to several of our friends. We will be returning to this amazing hidden jewel.
Exceeded Expectations. We went here for a late Mother’s day meal. Yes, it’s on the end of a strip mall. Big deal. People who eat at a place based on the outside building are looking for something to complain about. The evening exceeded all of our expectations. The service and timing of said service was spot on. Food courses were spaced perfectly. We each had a different entree and all were just great. We had one of the filet special, King Prawn meal, Duck meal, and short ribs. Also had oysters on the 1/2 shell and crab cakes for appetizers. From the starting bread to the entree everything exceeded everyones expectation. As far as price, restuarant prices always shock me but the range here was what any other place of this calibur would charge and the food was certainly worth it as was the service. If you don’t go just because it’s in a strip mall, you are missing out on a very nice meal.
Greatly impressed. Not sure why we haven’t been to the Kincaid Grill before now other than it’s a stretch from Eagle River. We were nicely rewarded last night with great food, good presentation, wonderful atmosphere and impeccable service and all at a reasonable price. They also have a respectable wine list. For me, I couldn’t ask for a better combination of factors when dining out. Keep up the good work – I’ll be back often when I’m in town.
Greatm place to take someone you want to impress. My husband takes me to the Kincaid Grill for my birthday because I so love the Seafood Fusion soup, which is as beautiful to look at as it tastes. We took my sister and her son on her birthday last week and they were properly wowed by the service, the wonderful food, and the quiet elegance of the place. Google their menu. You won’t be disappointed.
Response to Gretch. Gretch, After reading your review it appears you had far from a stellar experience. I am quite the opposite of being ashamed, I am very proud of the service and quality of food at Kincaid Grill. My Chef and kitchen brigade as well as my floor service staff constantly strive to do their very best, I am so very proud of the job they do. I am sorry you had such a terrible experience, I hope for you to return soon, so we may surpass your expectations PS. I have been there 3 times in the last month and have enjoyed it every time. Creative food, friendly service and parking is a plus! We booked the chefs room in the kitchen for a party and will recommend doing this to others. Definitely worth the trip to the southside.
