One of the many great diners in Anchorage that offer reindeer sausages! I love this place reminds me of the south! I had reindeer hash with a biscuit and gravy and a copious amount of coffee!

I’ll be honest, I’m giving Kriners 5 stars for one reason: their Reuben sandwich. I did some growing up on the northeast coast where Jewish deli’s can be found on every other block. So I got used to the most amazing sandwiches in the world and came to love one – the Reuben. Corned beef stacked so high it almost topples over, tangy kraut, zesty Russian dressing and a little brown mustard. Since those days, I have spent decades being disappointed again and again. No matter where in the world I am, every Reuben has been a disappointment. Until, that is, I discovered Kriners. Their Reuben can hold its own with any of the deli’s I grew up with. On top of that, it’s absolutely massive and I can only finish half of it. Fortunately, the leftovers are just as tasty!! They also get 5 stars for breakfast – fast, tasty and fresh. The service has always been spectacular here and it’s like you’ve been friends with them for years even though it may be your first visit. The only bummer about Kriner’s is I’m usually so full after the meal I don’t have room for their desserts. And their dessert case is spectacular!!!! So amazing that one of these days we’re planning a visit just for coffee and dessert. Well, that may be a plural – desserts!!
