Best buffet deal in AK. Go figure- Mexican food in AK. The Sunday buffet for $13.25 is the best meal deal I have found in AK since coming from lower 48. The buffet food is real. I have found a lot of fake frozen chix breasts in AK but theirs are real. They even give pieces of NY strip cooked to order along with assorted taco/burrito and other fare that is quality and well worth the money. If u want authentic, go to mexico. This food tastes good and is a rare affordable treat in AK.
Generic Out of the Can. Have been to La Cabana’s a half dozen times over the years – always as a group lunch w/ coworkers since it is close and convenient – but after the first time for me it’s always been for the group and not the lunch. Every time the food has been pretty flavorless; every dish is like ‘a little bit of refried beans, a little bit of dirty rice, and a little bit of something blah’. Poor portion to value – even when using the 2for1 coupon that seems to be a permanent feature. You will be charged steeply for sour cream, guacamole, etc.
Tex-mex. Your average mexican restaurant. decent tasting, but very american-mexican food. I dont go their much but I recommend bringing a cupon, you will find them anywhere.
Decent food and margaritas. Huevos rancheros were good. Great service.
Great Service and Food. I did a take-out order for lunch, which is awesome because you can order and pay online, and then walk down and pick it up and go right back to work. The service was so friendly and the food was actually pretty good. I’d go back and sit down anytime…. and I just did! Service was good inside as well, and the food was very good too. It’s a keeper.
Great food. The food here is great so as there service. They have the best menudo in town. My favorite mexican restaurant in town.
Would go again. First of all, incredible service! Before our butts even hit the seat she had water, hot tortilla chips and salsa on the table. She filled our drinks faster than we could drink them. I had the Halibut Vercruz. I can’t attest to it’s Mexican authenticity but DAMN it was good. It was a $20 entre but the portions are enormous. Could easily be a dish to share. The rice was delicious and well spiced, the salsa was fresh and chilled, the tortillas came hot. The halibut could have been cooked less but it was hardly noticable.
