Great beer. Ive been to Midnight Sun Brewing Company about 10 times. The beer is the best part of this place. You basically get some food to compliment the beer and not the other way around. I like it best during nonpeak hours, when grabbing a beer and some appetizers with a group of friends. Its a fun place to hang out. The service is fun and casual, sorta hipster, at other times can feel a bit ignored (if they are too busy). The servers are full informed on beer styles and can answer all your questions. They also have growlers to go which is a nice option. What I like least about this place is that there is no hostess and when its peak hours the place fills up. People can enter from 2 separate entrances and there often groups of people standing and eyeing the next possible table. Its every man for himself when a table opens, usually goes to the most aggressive person waiting versus to people who were waiting longer. Courtesy goes out the window. As a diner, you can feel all the eyeballs on you as youre finishing your meal, although not rushed by the servers I certainly feel rushed by other patrons when its busy. If you love good beer and a casual atmopshere, just try to go during the less busy times.
Beer is amazing, but get yr food from somewhere else! Just disappointing
Beer, lemon fizz, great sandwiches. By all means go. The blt is unreal, the other items I’ve tried are great, the lemon fizz soda and the rootbeer are good bets if you aren’t drinking alcohol. Worth the hassle of parking.
Best beer, great food. This is fantastic little spot. Midnight Sun has, of course, the best beer in Anchorage and it tastes oh so much better directly from the source. Especially when paired with one of their awesome sandwiches or some hot and fresh pretzel sticks! Service can be a little spotty when it’s busy, but that’s the only complaint I’ve got about this place!
Not blue collar. Funky kind of hipster place. I had a good pastrami sandwich for AK, but pretzel stick app was junky. Not a blue collar drinking place- 36oz beer limit. Not a place for normal rural guy visiting from the lower 48.
Loved it!! Great service. Highly recommend the Monk’s Minstress.
Parking is awful, restaurant is loud, not enough options on the menu. It feels like a bar not a restaurant.
