Originale hits it out of the park!. This has to be the best kept secret in Anchorage! Run by a family with deep roots to Italy, the food is consistently excellent and the environment pleasing. The restaurant is family owned and operated, and the menu is very authentic. I travelled through Italy a few years ago, and during a trip to Originale, I asked if they had a smoked, cured meat called speck. I loved this stuff when I happened upon it in Italy, but I had never seen it in the United States. Of course they did! Straight from Italy.
