Wonderful atmosphere, the food is always AMAZING! Whenever you get a chance to try the Creamed Asparagus Soup do it! It’s absolutely amazing I would love to get my hands on the recipe! The desserts are out of this world good too!
Maybe I won’t like food in Paris or maybe Americans just love breakfast meat. I got the stuffed french toast breakfast and it was terrible! The French Toast was cold and just looked like a baguette or whatever fancy bread they used with a lump of cream cheese wedged between they just completely turned me off! Won’t be trying this place again unless it’s for the pastries that looked like they may be good.
Horrid experience. New owners do not give service we were used to. Took forever for waitstaff to come take order. Never asked us if we wanted drinks and never refilled the water glasses. Took a long time for salad to come out. Lettuce was wilted and pieces were slimy. Waitstaff never came to check on us and mostly were not visible. It took us 15 minutes to get their attention to make a request. This used to be a good place to go. Never again!
Don’t get the steak!. They’re French and they know how to make a pastry but they can’t cook a steak unless you ask for well done!
One of the best restaurants in Anchorage…. I’ve been going to Paris Bakery & Caf since it opened and I can’t recall a single time I left unhappy whether it was lunch or dinner. Their food is true Parisian, not the Americanized version you usually see up here. The staff is very friendly and helpful and their offerings are varied enough to please everyone in your party. I’ve tried their monthly tasting menu highlighting a specific area of France several times and it was a nice change to have a menu specifically designed to deliver a specific experience. Prices are great and about the only warning I can give is definitely save room for dessert as their offerings are top-notch. Quite often we have dessert after our meal and then grab a take-home box of their desserts we were too full to try. Their desserts are THAT good!!
Great Deal in Muldoon. Do not let the location mislead you. Paris Cafe is really quite good. My wife and I have eaten here 5-6 times and have always left satisfied. The prices are reasonable and the desserts are among the best in town. The halibut entrees are a great value. The chefs at Paris Cafe know how to cook seafood.
I would only recommend for the pastries…dinner was bland and overpriced
