The best Mexican food in Town. After trying out many of the gross Tex-Mex places in town I *finally* found the only place I will return. Rocco’s is hands-down the best place in town.Everything is hand-made, from scratch- including the tortillas. The carnitas are wonderful; I could go on and on about how wonderful the food is here and how warm and gracious the owner is to the customers.The prices are very affordable, even cheap for Anchorage. The portion sizes are perfect. Unfortunately, the eat-in area is very small, I think only two or three tables. But, take-out is a wonderful option. I’ve been craving tacos for about a week now, maybe I’ll head to Rocco’s for lunch!

Honestly, I’ve not been to Rocco’s. The fact is that I’ll never go to Rocco’s until the likelyhood that I’ll get shanked in the parking lot dips below 40 percent.
My new favorite place in town. AMAZING tacos. Haven’t had carnitas this good in years. Everything is fresh, the tortillas are so so fresh and good, I had almost forgotten how good they can be. Can be a little bit of a wait, limited seating, order ahead. Absolutely incredible. Will try the burros next time.
Great Mole Burrito. I ate there for lunch yesterday, and the service was quick (about 5 minutes) and the burrito was excellent. Nice tortilla, rice, mole with chicken and a good size. I would definitely go there again.
