In Anchorage, AK about to chow down on some good down home cooking. Put Roscoe’s Barbecue on your must eat at places in Alaska. You won’t be disappointed!!!
Stopped in for lunch after visiting the museum. Glad we found this gem! Immediately upon entering Roscoe greeted us and made us feel welcome. I brought my big and young family (7 kids) and Roscoe offered us Jenga games to play, told us not to worry about loud kids, and generally made us feel like family. Food was fantastic! I had the pulled pork which was sweet and tangy, just like I remember from North Carolina. My wife had the ribs, and they were amazing! Even the green beans, red beans and rice, and the Mac and cheese were surprisingly delicious. Definitely THE place for BBQ in Anchorage!
Came here for lunch today. I must admit the service wasn’t that great as my friends and I waited almost 15 mins for a server to show up. But on the other hand the food was amazing. I ordered the Alaskan seafood gumbo, my friend the catfish, and other friend grilled cheese as she has never been below the Mason Dixon line so she was skeptical…lol It was really good and I recommend this place to everyone.
Great Food and service, ordered the catfish and it was cooked perfectly, the serving size was very generous as well, awesome sweet tea and desserts

Happy they’re back. Very happy to see Roscoes back. I look forward to the fair every year to be able to go to their booth and get my fix of cobbler and Cajun red beans and rice.
Avoid. Truly painful experience in every way.
