The first time I went to this restaurant the wait staff was horrendous. The second time as well. Due to this I almost never came back until my taste buds tried the pulled pork nachos. Best I have eveeerrr ate. Candied jalapeos caramelized onion cilantro cream sauce and juicy tender pulled pork. It will forever be a little noisy and the staff still isn’t consistent but the kaladi coffee and food is good. The structure itself is one of the prettiest establishments to eat at in Anchorage.

The Mac and cheese here is to die for! Same with their fries and love the hot licks soda they serve! That about sums up my meal every time I go there!!! Yum! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Going to have to stop in this weekend!

Great service. I showed up early for the reservation, and I was still seated right away. Wait staff was awesome. The fried olives and apple crostada were AMAZING! I really can’t stress it enough, amazing. The rib eye was perfectly seasoned and cooked with nicely roasted vegetables that had the perfect amount of crunch. I feel it was worth the price. The house burger w/fries and pulled pork nachos were about what you’d expect: nothing too amazing, but still good. The sweet tea was flavorful, and they give you a whole serving bottle of it. The prices seem a tad bit high when you’re looking at the menu online, but after the meal, its really not too bad because the food is so satisfying. Oh, and the pepperoni pizza had a really good sauce to it, and was thin crust. I felt like the sauce made it one of the better pizzas I’ve had in a while, especially for only 12 dollars. They were happy to box it up and make it to-go for us while we were having dinner. It’s a little noisy when its busy, but the atmosphere was really laid back and relaxed.

Love this place and not just because it’s 30 seconds from my house. Great food that really puts a twist on standard pub fair. Wine and beer selection is on point and the service was good considering they are usually packed.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out ever since I was last in Alaska and it was under construction. This is the trendiest place, decor wise, I’ve seen in Anchorage. Fabulous interior AND exterior. The food was extremely good and they have a very extensive wine list. The staff were efficient and friendly, considering the extremely full house. We ordered the Fried Olives, Side Chips, Cod Tacos, Cheese Pizza, Skewers and Black Cod, German Chocolate Cake and Caramel Gelato …. All were delicious, except the Cod in both dishes were a little bland.Overall, the experience was great, fun and I would definitely go back.

Acoustics keep us from returning…… We had a mid-afternoon meal here a while back. The building is quite lovely. The food was pretty good, though the portions were quite small. The acoustics, though, are terrible. Neither my spouse or myself can handle them for very long. Something needs to be done to soften the noise. Speaking with other friends who have been there, many have the same opinion. Then there is the parking problem. Not sure how the permitting got through with the close quarters in the neighborhood, and what I’ve read about what the original plan was for the hours.

AK Dining. We tried the cheese bread, fries and kettle chips. The cheese bread was nothing out of the ordinary. The fries were great and were served with an unusual dipping sauce. The kettle chips were as expected and served with the same sauce as the fries. For our entrees we ordered: the filet, the gnocchi (w/pork tenderloin), cod, and the skewers. My daughter was not thrilled with her skewers but the rest of us were delighted with ours. The filet was so tender you could cut it with a knife. My husband raved over the polenta. We completed our meal with the stores dessert! Wow, what a yummy ending to a great meal. The customer service and food were terrific. Would highly recommend you give it a try….be aware it is on the pricier side but worth the splurge (filet $41).
