Clean, enjoyed our crab cake sliders and clam chowder. Salmon and Rockfish seemed fried?? Over cooked, the manager took half off the bill. Server was friendly enough but very scatter brained. Would not return. If you like fried foods, you may like it.
Over priced.. I got helped by this lady named Mikayla a couple months back and she was very nice she seemed like she was pretty new though. The food was okay but not great. The bar was pretty empty looked like no one was there. The service was fair but everything was so expensive! Not worth going back for.
Went there tonight to grab some appetizers. Waitress wasn’t helpful to day the least. She refilled our drinks once and got out order wrong. We we’re just getting appetizers so it wasn’t a hard order. She didn’t try to correct it later. Also the food wasn’t very good. They serve bread and salmon dip but the bread wasn’t toasted, which it should be. The nachos weren’t anything special. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Not worth the money.
Don’t waste your money! Ordered a steak and it was on top my mashed potatoes when the order came. The teriyaki bites were dry and gross. Ribs has way too much vinegar. He only thing good was the rice.
I have been here close to 10 times since its opening up to this far. Each time iv gone the food has defiantly been great, boarding on awesome.
Food was great and service a little slow but they have a gluten free menu sorta of and that’s wonderful.
Must be getting better – we enjoyed our first visit. After reading some of the negative reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect from Seward’s Folly but since we had a prearranged outing planned there we were jumping in feet first and as it turns out I’m glad we did. Our server was super in every way. She was very attentive to our every need and very patient with me as I tried to decide what I wanted. I ended up settling on a burger (Black and Blue Burger w/ jalapenos added). The burger was done to perfection – not over cooked as I’d read in some previous reviews and not overly greasy considering it was a 1/2 lb hand pressed all beef patty. One thing I will say and I say this solely for you onion haters like me, they sneak a generous portion of those stinky purple onions between the bottom of the bun and burger. Be sure to ask for no onions if you hate onions as bad as I do. They slice them up nice and thin so getting them off after the fact is near impossible. The food arrived in a decent amount of time considering it was Saturday night. Our water glasses stayed full the entire time and our server did a good job keeping our other beverages full as well. The food arrived hot and although I didn’t get the fries with my burger I had a chance to sample a few from another plate and they were piping hot and crispy cut fries. As a side for my burger I got the clam chowder which was very good, not the best ever, but very good overall. Thick, tasty and containing a fair amount of actual clams (whoa! Clams in Clam Chowder).Adult beverage choices were fairly impressive, garnering a small sub menu of their own. They had a wide selection of beer (I’d say they had about 15 taps and as many if not more bottle choices), wine and spirits to choose from including a number of local brew choices which is always a good thing. Beer is served in 16 or 20 oz sizes (I forgot to ask whether they served pitchers). Food prices overall were on par for this area of town – appetizers varying in price from $10-$20 depending on the dish, sandwiches from $11 – $16 and dinner entrees $20 – $30Overall atmosphere hasn’t changed much from the Chili’s days for those of you that have been there pre-Seward’s Folly. The decor is different but the layout is basically the same. The bar area is still pretty much what it was before with TVs and such (seems like it would still be a great place to catch a MNF game or some Saturday college football). The main dinning area is has booths and tables scattered throughout with a relatively open concept, probably not the most intimate of setups but probably not a place I’d go for a quiet romantic evening, more like a good place to go for casual Saturday night out.My one complaint, and it is minor but I was little bummed nonetheless, was that I asked if they had fresh jalapenos and our server said she thought they did so I asked if I could get some on my burger. I was a bit bummed when I saw the canned type peppers on my burger but maybe they’d just run out of the fresh peppers or something, who knows. At any rate overall we had a very good experience at Seward’s Folly and we plan on going back.
