Silk isn’t much different than many, many Asian places in Anchorage. Nothing makes it stand out and I can think of many other Asian places I’d go to first. The atmosphere is a bit too trendy, the food is just average and the prices are a bit too high. We’ve tried it 3 times and each time we walked out feeling a bit ripped off.

Great Food and Service. After looking at a couple of reviews it sounds like they were having an off day or perhaps a staffing issue… I must say I have been to SILK 3 times a month or so for the last 6 months. Everything they make is VERY fresh, and the food is excellent. If you are looking for a cheap mounds of food at ok quality this is not the place for you. If you are will to accept a small amount less food, but have outstanding quality, freshness, and taste then this is your place. The service has always been very good. It is not fast food by any means, but certainly not that slow. I equate the experience to eating at a very nice steak house or something. Quality food, great service, but giving you plenty of time to enjoy your drinks, appetizers, and of course the main dish. I would recommend SILK 100%. A bit more money than your typical chinese food, but well worth it because it is not your typical chinese restaurant either. They have a VERY large variety of food available for just about any tastes out there. Personally I am addicted to their Pad Thai, or Sesame Chicken.
Dynamite Ceviche Salad. The salad was a masterpiece of color and flavor- the best I’ve had of its kind so far, my favorite from our dinner and I will be back soon to have it again. Everything we tried was creatively combined and beautifully presented. The service was efficient and the staff engaging and friendly.
Best Curry in Town!. This was the best Curry I have ever had in Anchorage. The modern interior design is very well done. A great hidden spot that will be a fave.
Great place. We had both of these this evening and they were wonderful. Great portion size and presentation. All of the staff are friendly and professional. We will definitely return soon
