Okay food for way too much money. My significant other and I went for Valentine’s Day. They had packed the place with as many tables as they could. I understand they wanted to make money that day, but I felt less like a customer and more like a bundle of cash. The filet mignon was excellent, as were the desserts, but the appetizers and salmon with mashed potatoes were disappointing. I’ve had better food for less money. Okay place overall with good service… However, I wouldnt recommend it. Too much money for such a disappointing experience.
Went there for Swingin Sullivan’s. The bar menu is 7$, well most of it. The blue cheese chips were simple. Melted blue cheese chips and green onions but they were simply addictive. The egg rolls I have heard a lot about. They were cheesesteak eggs with a sweet and sour and honey mustard drizzle on top. They were a little on the sweet side with all the toppings for me but I also finished the plate. The other item my friend and I split was the pub burger. It was nothing special but the fries were crispy and salty. I wouldn’t have ordered these if not on sale. This place is definitely on the pricer side. The remodel looks wonderful and the bar downtown atmosphere is splendid.
First time last night. Had reservation but had to stand and wait for 30 minutes. Had to wait for everything whole night.; standard dinner took 3 1/2 hrs! They kept apologizing because they had a big private party. So what, for the prices you charge everyone else shouldn’t have to wait. Cesar salad was unimpressive. Filet minion was good. Deserts not impressive. Waiter could not figure out how to split a bill between two couples and one with a coupon. Good thing the company was good. Better restaurants in town for the price.
Sullivan’s FAKEhouse. This place is faux-fancy, but the food is gross. I thought the cheese steak egg rolls would have sliced steak inside. But instead it was full of greasy scraps that looked like a bad dogs dinner. My salad was swimming in dressing, but that was probably intentional trying to hide the brown avocado chunks. Wish I had a time machine, so I could go back in time and eat ANYWHERE else.
Kitchen war. The kitchen is going through some sort of union thing. First they delayed our side dishes by 10 minutes and our meat went cold. Then they served ice cold coffee. Disappointing experience and poor value. Excellent meat, however.
I have dined here twice in recent months- the food was awful – steaks over cooked and 1 filet even tasted like 2 tenderloins pieced together between fat/ it was NOT a filet of beef tenderloin- the food just just horrible and yet the service was great. This place sadly did not deliver but trying again I learned nope not going down this road a 3rd time!
Inconsistent. What I can say about Sullivans is that its inconsistent. There have been times weve gone and everything has been fantastic-service, atmosphere, food and drinks. (The baby kale salad was out of this world by the way.) Other times, not so much. (My husband ordered halibut, an expensive dinner entree. Instead of halibut he got a tiny piece of fish that was definately not halibut. He knows his seafood and at first the waitress awkwardly tried to make excuses and tell us it was halibut but finally the manager arrived at our table to admit the cooks had used sole that was leftover from the earlier lunch menu instead of the halibut they should have used. He apologized up and down but we walked away with a loss of trust in their kitchen staff.) We have begun to go less frequently because of the mixed experiences which is kind of sad because it used to be one of my favorite places. I dont want to spend that kind of money at a restaurant unless I am guaranteed satisfaction.
