Over the few years my husband and I have been going here they have improved a lot. The food is really good and so is the atmosphere – especially since the remodel. We’ve only ever had amazing service as well. They knew our names after only a couple visits and are always very attentive and friendly. It’s hard to break away from the pack for any restaurant so little things like remembering a customer’s name tend to make a person come back instead of trying somewhere else just because they’re new or really gimmicky like The Rock.

Getting Better. We’ve been going to Sushi Garden for more than 12 years. For many years, it had some of the best (and most interesting) sushi chefs, best food and best service in town. Then, a couple of years ago, it changed ownership and the service/quality went downhill fast. They also had a fire & closed for almost a year. We gave them a try a couple of weeks ago and it looks like they finally got the word – quality is back up, the chefs are once again interacting with the customers and the management seems involved. The new decor may also be some of the best in town.I suggest the South End of town give them another shot. I once again recommend them.

As bad as it gets. I have been a customer for over 20 years . Food used to be from good to great. I had the teriyaki beef as per usual and it was watery, poor vegetables, slimy mushrooms… Terrible. The egg rolll was barely warm. I had a spice roll that was not spicy, as well as way to large and mushy. My wife and I cared enough to complain but we were pretty much blown offf. We are never going back.

Won’t come back!!!. I used to eat sushi at this restaurant atleast onec a week before ownership was changed several months ago. I am not going to sushi garden anymore because their service and food was really bad after new owner took this restaurant. All the staff is quit. My favorite waitress Jenny who was really nice and friendly to my family and me also quit. Jenny was one of the reason that why my family and I going to sushi garden very oftenly, she was treat us like a family members. Now new waitress’s are really dry.chill and disbehavior to customers. All the great food lost their value and taste. Price was went up, so I had to pay extra for valueless food and horrible service. One of my friend told me his Korean friend said the new owner is crazy, all the staff was quit right after changed ownership cause of the new owner’s craziness. His Korean friend also not going to sushi garden anymore because everything changed a lot really worse. Now I can understand why the owner(female) was sitting down on the counter with discontented look. I swear to GOD, I won’t go this restaurant never ever again. My family and I was love this restaurant but we lost our restaurant and waitress Jenny after new owner took this place. Don’t wasting your time and money.

Avoid this place at all costs. We gave it a try again as it was the only place open in the area. We immediately remembered why we hadn’t come here in so long when our food arrived. My husbands roll had an orange sauce on it that tasted old and rancid and they globbed so much tobiko on it that he had to use a fork to scrape it off. The previous time he got this roll, neither of these things were on it. My crunch roll came and looked like a child had thrown it together. I ate one piece before realizing that the shrimp throughout was raw! The roll was ice cold like it had been in a fridge and the rice was gummy and soggy. The rice on my husbands roll was bad as well. Another in our party had a seafood soup and couldn’t eat half of the stuff in her soup as it was hard/too chewy. She was afraid to eat the shell fish as they broke one half of the shell off. Just a genuinely bad experience and I will never be going back. This place was so good many years ago, too bad the new owners don’t seem to care.

Horrible service and steep prices. There is too many good sushi restaurants in town to charge this much for mediocre food and non-existent service, no thanks!

The outside looks nice, everything else from there disappointing! The menu looks exactly like Dish but more expensive, I got the crunch roll and honestly only had shrimp in the two end pieces, my husband got the American roll which also lists shrimp but again was only in the end pieces. Can soda, and dirty miso soup bowls!!! Gross also had dirty dipping bowls which waitress noticed but never brought us new ones until she noticed we created something ourselves to use. Also there was only 3 other people there so she was not busy!! Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be going again!
