I love Sushi Ya, BUT do not order seafood noodle soup and ask for it to be made extra spicy. Unless you like the idea of having a jar of chili paste dumped into your bowl. Talk about lack of creativity in flavoring their food! Ick.
Horrible experience tonight. After waiting 40 minutes and watching the table that came in after us finish their meal and dessert, we got up to leave. As we say we’ll just pay for what we’ve had they basically forced us to pay and wait for our food. We used to Love this place, sadly this experience has changed our views.
This is how sushi in Anchorage should be priced.. The quality seems to be a lot better than most other sushi spots in town, with much lower prices. You’re getting more than you pay for here with excellent service too.
This is my favorite sushi place in town! They have a great menu selection and there rolls are always tasty. My favorite is the delicato or the hidden dragon roll. It’s a nice place to have lunch or dinner for couples or smaller parties.
Lunch prices are awesome. We just started coming back here after a long break and glad we did. The food is good and so is the price.
Great food, better price!. Sushi ya has always been on of my favorite sushi spots in anchorage, they have a huge selection of rolls, great quality, and low priced. The service is always friendly, and the new remodel looks great. Always a wonderful experience at Sushi Ya!
Great sushi and great atmosphere. I hadn’t been to Sushi Ya since shortly after it opened and I was surprised at the decor update! I thought that the reasonable sushi prices would have gone up with the remodel but the prices were still very reasonable! My son, age 7, had a great time, trying all sorts of new foods! His udon was very large and delicious and the tempura came on the side, so the batter did not get squishy. My husband who is pedestrian loved his yakisoba. I had sushi, of course and all of the rolls I ordered were great. I do prefer more traditional rolls and they were lovely in accommodating me with a special order I wanted. Can’t wait to go again, next time my son and I have date night without pedestrian husband!
