This place is dirty and the food is below average. I would compare it to a bad DQ
Good Food…..Bad Service. Like the title says, the food was good. But I don’t know if I’ll go back. Maybe it was the timing (shift change?), but the service was bad. The girl taking orders was upset and complaining to customers because her relief didn’t show up. She had a terrible attitude and treated people like the were inconveniencing her because they’d walked in the door when she should be going home. It made it very uncomfortable to order. Also, my husband went to use the restroom when we first got there. A female customer had gone in the men’s room so he couldn’t get in. 20 minutes after we’d been there, a girl who worked there came out of the female restroom after changing for work. So I guess that’s the cause of the female customer’s choice to use the men’s room. Lastly, I noticed it’s a bunch of teenagers working in there which it’s great that they are given the job, but I think an adult manager would be nice to have in there to hopefully help things run a little better.
Lucky to live in Jewel Lake. I love this place. Reminds me of being a kid. Such a treat and only a few blocks away. Are we lucky or what?
Rich gives kids their first jobs and sometimes it shows. But they try hard to please. And the ice cream is gnarly good. Get a Hawaiian Freezy, it’s not on the menu but they’ll make you one. Yum!!
This is the joint to get your ice cream fix!. I was sick with a sore throat and desperately wanted some ice cream. Unfortunately, I absolutely hate the DQ on Tudor. So we decided to check this place out instead.I cannot say I could be any happier! The service was fast, efficient, and I actually got a smile from the High school server. The prices are low, and the product is great! My Peanut Butter cup Freezee was impressively large, and tasted fantastic!I’m so happy this place is family owned and operated; I will certainly be coming back and recommending to ALL of my friends.Keep up the good work Tastee Freez!
Meh, it’s a mixed bag.. I prefer the shakes and malts from Lucky Wishbone better than here. My group also ordered burgers, fries, and onion rings. The burgers weren’t the best… the veg on the burgers was kind of old. Wilted lettuce, hot onions, and the tomatoes were mealy. The fries were ok. The onion rings were perfect. Service was good and relatively quick.
Love it and love it. Years ago I worked there. great burgers and service. The frozen yogurt is amazing!!
