Taco del Mar was Closed. So we gave TGIF a shot. It was better than we expected from a mid-range chain restaurant. The pecan crusted chicken salad was damply breaded rather than crusted, but tasty & fresh enough anyway. Husband had Korean BBQ tacos and said they were good. Our server was very cheerful and prompt.

Good service Bad food. The shrimp was fried to death the cajun pasta was like a dry paste and the steak was ok at best . The long island ice tea taste like tea mix very watered down. The service was great but the food was horrible especially for the price.
It’s ok. I enjoyed my rack of ribs and fries. The cole slaw did not taste well. Seems the ingredients were lacking.Overall, it was a good experience.
Nice to be back!. After living in Idaho and having the TGI Friday’s restaurant as one of my favorite places to eat out, then living in rural Alaska for 3 years, I have to say, I was thrilled to see it when we moved to Anchroage! And as I expected, service was great – food was wonderful! My favorite is the Sesame Jack Chicken Strips. They lived up to those I’ve had in Idaho. If the other reviewers gave it another chance, now, I think they would be suprisingly pleased.
We were sitting in the lounge, waiter walked by us 4 or 5 times before asking if we needed menus…he had a generally crappy attitude. Food was sub-par…
Took about 10min to get someone to talk to use when we sat down, and then we didn’t see our server again until the came. After that we didn’t see her until we asked for the bill.
