Great Experience. This is the stand by restaurant that is always good. The one we always go back to after trying the new shiny places. it sometimes takes a while but if you are prepared to wait and have good company it is worth it. The food is fresh, hot and fabulouse

Don’t have the bruschetta! I couldn’t believe it. The weird waiter highly recommended this so we ordered it. He threw down a plate of store bought wheat bread piled high with tomatoes. I have to admit it had good flavor but what happened to the French bread? Very weird. Waiter brought the wrong meal to my husband and never asked once how our meal was… Probably didn’t want to know. Our meal was pretty good but very small portions and very expensive. I don’t mind paying $100 for dinner, but at least give me enough to take some home. Won’t be going back.

No.. I had high hopes….big let down for me. At 32 bucks for a plate of scampi, I was expecting just a little more than what I was given. It even states on the menu that the portions are small, which is fine, but for a few linguini, a very watery somewhat flavorless sauce, and a few shrimp, I could only hope for some more pasta. Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente though, so that’s a plus. I prefer to go to locally owned joints, but I gotta admit, Olive Garden is looking pretty good.

Used to be better…. My husband and I used to LOVE coming here. The past couple of times have been just okay. New Year’s Eve 2013 we came here and the atmosphere and noise level were good. This New Year’s Eve (and the latest visit), the atmosphere sucked, for lack of a better word. There was a group of noisy, obnoxious (loud voices, noise makers, etc.) people in one corner of the restaurant and the waiters did nothing to keep the noise level down. If we had wanted THAT kind of experience, we would have gone to a bar. Service was okay and my food was great, but my husband’s chicken alfredo came out all wrong–I love getting that dish, but this time it’s like they forgot the cream or something. Not sure if we’ll be going back much. Maybe they can keep up with things and make dishes correctly mid-week when it’s slower.

It was okay, but I wouldn’t be all that eager to return. I ordered a seafood pasta and the waitress asked if I wanted fettuccine or rigatoni, and white or red sauce… I clearly said rigatoni with white sauce. It came back as fettuccine with red sauce. I don’t know how she got so confused that it turned out the exact opposite of how I ordered. It had a variety of seafood but literally only ONE shrimp. I might have a better experience trying a different dish, but based on my first visit I am not impressed

Good but could be better. I would eat here again but there are a couple of things that could take it from a good place to eat to a fantastic place to eat. The salad was a little mediocre but even that could of been over looked. The one thing they need to improve on is the bread it isn’t very fresh. Fresh bread would take this place over the top. The meal was great the service was great and it was the best tiramisu I have ever had.

After staying in anchorage for a week and trying almost every restaurant in town (there aren’t many) I was sorely disappointed every single time. Confusingly, most of the locals recommended Humpy’s – which was little more than bland overpriced pub food ($50 for 3 crab legs; not kidding) we finally stumbled upon Villa Nova, which is admittedly easy to overlook, in a rundown strip mall at the edge of town. In short, this was the diamond in the rough we were looking for. Everything was exceptional, from the garlic butter gnocchi to the handmade chocolate baskets and orange marmalade dessert. This should be your first stop when dining in Anchorage – or your last, lest it be strait downhill from there.
