One of our favorite restaurants in town. Great food, spectacular service and an atmosphere that has you smiling as soon as you walk in. It’s not cheap, but for food this good its well worth the price. Especially when you consider the average Italian food you get elsewhere for almost the same price. We’ve never had a bad meal here soI won’t recommend a specific dish. But whatever you do, ask your server for recommendations. Something they have some inside scoop or a different take on a dish you may not have tried. And always be ready for the chef to come out and say hi. I don’t think we’ve ever eaten there when he didn’t come out and ask how our meal was. Villa Nova is one of the few places in town we recommend to out of state visitors.

Terrible.. Cutting corners. They say they have buffalo mozzarella .. Nope just mozzarella from Costco. I’m pretty sure they cut their olive oil on the table with canola oil. Ordered the chicken picatta and it had a hair in it. Not impressed with the wine list, charging $1 more per glass for Kim Crawford Chardonnay than other fine restaurants.

Disappointed. Had a reservation for 8pm on Valentines Day and got seated in the bar area in such a tight spot that was awkward. Then waited for 15 minutes until someone finally asked if we had been helped. We ordered a drink and it was the wrong one, ended up being good however. Ordered the calamari and it came out fast and was great except a few pieces in a bite tasted like raw seafood juice was spilled on it. Even though we knew it takes a while for the main dish to be made as per their standard, our entrees came out over an hour after we ordered them. Every time we wanted another drink we had to flag someone down after we had waited 5-10 minutes for them to notice. Food lacked salt and from the moment we were seated until we left over 3 hours after arriving felt like we were an afterthought and a burden.
