I’ve only been here once but it was so good I’ll be going back. Some colleagues and I hit it for lunch and all 3 of us loved the food. The special was rouladen which can be difficult to make well but this place nailed it. The beef was tender and the gravy had the slight sour flavor from the pickle that it should have. The schnitzel the others had was just as good. Crisp on the outside, tender inside with a slight hint of lemon in the sauce. The side dishes for all of us was spaetzel and braised red cabbage. Both were delicious but I’m a bit picky as I make those dishes at home regularly and prefer my recipes. The only reason I don’t give this place 5 stars is the location. It’s on the far edge of town in what is probably the nastiest neighborhoods in town. Which is why we’ll go there for lunch but not dinner. That’s not a neighborhood I want to be in after it gets dark.
