Brought my friends from out of town here. Totally blew their minds on ingredient quality. I love the small orders you can get. No other Japanese restaurant I’ve been to does that. Also, one of the few places that serves bubble tea. Definitely in my top 3 sushi places.
Best sushi in Anchorage hands down. I love the variety of dishes available as well. Very friendly staff that make you feel like your at home. Its a must try!
This place is soo good. I have never had a bad meal here. I’m a regular who comes as often as I can afford. These people know what they are doing and it really shows in the quality of food. Their fish is always fresh and tasty. The sushi rice is also cooked correctly and it doesn’t have that strange sweetness that other sushi restaurant’s have. The cook also heard me comment this one time about how much I hated fried Oreos to my dinner partner and sent over a freshly cut orange with whipped cream and a cherry on top. It was such a great surprise!
As a former sushi chef I…. As a former sushi chef, I carefully choose where I put my hard earned money when ordering sushi. Quality fish i.e. fatty well selected tuna is a requisite for a great sushi restaurant. Though most of the sushi is the americanized version they do offer traditional sashimi, zushi, sushi, etc…, and what is made, ranges from being decent to amazing quality while being plated artistically. But dont believe for a second that sushi is all that is offered, the yakitori is just as mouthwatering. The atmosphere gives off a professional but comfortable feel, while the owner and employees are always friendly and easy to talk to. I have been to nearly all sushi restaurants in anchorage and have given decent reviews for some, but this is my go to sushi restaurant from this point on.
I grew up in Hawaii and have a pretty snotty sushi palate. I haven’t tried all the sushi places in Anchorage, but close to all of them. Yakitori is hands down without a doubt THE best sushi in town. Their sake menu is good too. Try the special, whatever it is, you will not be disappointed.
Amazing!!!. Fantastic food and a wonderful staff. Their crunch rolls are delicious. Would highly recommend.
A Little Gem off Tudor Rd.. Excellent food and service! I recommend the scallop and bacon wrapped scallop skewers. The sushi was fresh and well prepared and the fried Oreos were a nice surprise for after dinner.
