I forgot to mention the salad bar!. They HAVE one, and it is quite fresh. Basic stuff is always there, and when they have that little taco salad it is GREAT with a dollop of their tasty guacomole added. (Aside from the grumpy deli staff previously mentioned their workers are very friendly people!)28 May, 2011They are hit and miss but you can always find something.. Too bad the servers pretend they don’t know English when you try to get the nice soft eggs without the green clumps of egg at five dollars-plus per pound. Bring your own Tabasco because they glare at you when you ask for more… Bacon is good, the little blueberry crepes are quite good too, in fadt it is the only morning breafast-to-go place that is worth eating from. And they DO give you a place to sit and enjoy your food, which is important for those of us who don’t eat in the car.
For deli food in a grocery store, this was a pleasant surprise. A good daily selection of hot and cold foods that included several tasty Filipino kept us coming back. Good thing it was so close to our downtown hotel. B
Surprising Alternative. This is your typical deli in a grocery store, but also is a pleasant, perhaps unexpected, surprise for anyone downtown, hungry, and ready for something a little different. From the traditional chicken strips and corn-dogs, to unique Thai and Oriental choices, this small, out-of-the-way spot can satisfy the appetite. Prices are fairly typical during the lunch rush, which can be VERY busy, but they usually discount items as the afternoon grows later.
