My experience at hangar on the wharf was awesome- we had a very personable and friendly waitress, our table was looking over the water, and we went on a day the cruise ships werent coming in so it had a local bar feel, but the food definitely exceeded bar food. Every entree exuded Alaskan, but there were options for every diet. We got ginger halibut bites, grapefruit and orange salmon and halibut fillets, salmon and halibut fillets with berry chutney, two wasabi salmon burgers- one of us replaced the bun (which looked like a THE perfect burger bun) with a lettuce wrap for a lighter option. I got the roasted squash option as my vegan entree and it was absolutely delicious! My only complaint is the sweet potato fries were soggy- tragic. Im a huge sweet potato fry fan and that was a disappointment. Other than that, I definitely recommend trying this place out.One thing we didnt try were the halibut tacos or halibut and chips- we were told those were a favorite
Great food and great drinks!.Black Cod Picatta and Scallop fettuccine were delicious! The food is pretty typical sysco bar food. However, they do have some quality delicious items as well. The restaurant also gets so loud that you have to scream so your friends can hear you.
My friend and I went there (albeit on a busy night) were given menus by front staff and told we could sit in the bar section with no clear instruction for where we should order food or anything. Fast forward 20 min later we’re watching ALL the people around us getting their drink and food orders taken, but now ours!!! Needless to say I’m fairly certain I won’t be eating or drinking at the hangar anytime soon.
