Hard to find because the address on the visitors guide brochure is wrong. One of the few places that seems to be open all seasons. Had a good salmon burger and fries for lunch, it was $14.
Excellent breakfast. I went to Rockwell on Nov 2, 2014 with friends for breakfast. The sausage gravy on the home made biscuits was excellent. The Denver scramble was full of ham and peppers, the home fries were properly spiced with peppers and onions. The ambience is modern/zen. Relaxing, fun atmosphere. The wait staff was attentive and familiar with the menu.In the past I have gone to Rockwell for events and have always enjoyed the inspired wine selection. They have some interesting cocktails, but my preference remains with their wine.
Tried to give them a chance to many times….. Thought maybe since they redid the place and cleaned it up, the food and service might be better. But no, bad food and really bad service. Sat at our table for 15 minutes before even getting our drink order and then ordered the Falafel burger, which didnt even taste or look like falafel and was also soaked in grease….dont waste your time!
Awesome! Good restaurants are scarce in Juneau. Food was good. Prices reasonable and service impeccable.
My past two experiences here have been disappointing. The service is terrible, lots of staff but they just wander aimlessly, not refilling drinks or checking on customers. And the food has the potential to be great but it’s missing something and is just ok. Prices are reasonable but we won’t be going back again.
Great date night. Rockwell has some great appetizers (such as their nachos and mac n’ cheese) but also offers some slightly healthier options like their salads, beet burger, and salmon burger. Great price, great food, awesome chef, highly recommended!Ooo- and try the chicken sandwich :)!
Improved Give it a Try. I’ve been going to Rockwell’s since they first opened. The menu is creative and reasonably priced. This is a new restaurant with ambitious plans. The owners have bent over backwards to support a variety of charitable causes by hosting fundraisers and offering free or inexpensive space for fundraisers. As for the complaints regarding the service, it has improved. The wait staff has been reorganized and retrained. I encourage everyone to give the place another chance. I’ve found the brunch specials to be worth a try and I’ve never been disappointed with the wine list.
