This place has the best crab I have ever tried, hands down.My family ordered the crab shack combo with an extra leg, coleslaw and beer battered shrimp. The crab shack combo came with garlic rolls and butter, 4 crab cakes, crab bisque and soft, delicious, crab legs.The only complaints I have are the shrimp’s tails were still on and my crab leg has just a BIT of sand on it. One bite of crab was a little bit gritty but other than that, my meal was amazing.The garlic rolls were light and buttery, the coleslaw was fresh and tangy and the crab cakes were crispy and hand a good amount of crab.The place has a fun, cool ambiance. It is located outside and when your order is ready, they call your name and bring your meal to your table, worry free. If you go on an alaskan cruise or are visiting Juneau, visit this place. IT IS WORTH IT.
Casual and cheerful and great location! This place is pricey but we loved the creamy bisque and the sweetness of the crab legs. Would return again.
Crab legs ain’t cheap but they are good. This is a casual place with a capital C and I like it like that. All the better tourists eat there :-).
What a wonderful stop when you get off of the ship or if you are staying in town. Great crab and bisque. In fact, you owe it to yourself to order the bisque frozen and send it home. Great, fun people make it even better. We have been coming to The Shack for many years and look forward to many more.
One King Crab Leg is huge and the tastiest I have ever had anywhere. The crab bisque Wonderful!! Don’t even hesitate, a must.
Jim n Tammy from Cincinnati. We were in Juneau in July 2014 and ate at Tracy’s 5 times in a week. All of their food in off the charts! The atmosphere is great as well. Ya gotta try the bisque AND the coconut crab cakes.
