Good…so far. I had the chimichanga plate, it was real good, except the sauce. This was a streched tomato based sauce, no chili flavor here.My companion had the stuffed chile poblano. She said it tasted like it has been frozen too long, kind of watery.Service was excellent by a young guy in his 20s.
Food was ok, but nothing that would make me choose this place over somewhere similar. The service was sub par, slow, nearly non existant, and soft drinks were not refilled.
I’m Done with This Place. I’ve been going to Arribas in Ahwatukee on Chandler Blvd for years because it’s close to my house. But after a series of bad experiences, I’m done, no more second chances.I’ve had food served to me that so old I couldn’t cut it let alone eat it. I’ve been over charged on the bill, only to have ‘discussions’ with manager to have the correct price as seen on the menu, charged instead.I’ve given this place more than enough chances to pick up their game and they have gotten worse.Unless you’re going for 99c Marg. keep driving. Macayos is just down the road and MUCH better food.
Next time; we will see – maybe not. I’m thinking I should give them another chance even though I had a bad experience; this was my first time I went here/there – the restaurant was pretty empty because of the hour I showed up, around 5:00 PM – I was seated immediately, at a bar booth because I was a single, the waiter came to my table right away and took my order for a beer – then I waited what seemed to be a very long time for my beer and my order. The beer was flat, I think from waiting so long. Then, in what must have been less than five minutes my order came out – whaa the ., I didn’t think much of it until I cut into my shrimp and scallop enchilada – it was hard on the outside and the meat was hard. After a round of golf and small breakfast no lunch I wasn’t about to complain, I simply ate my meal and drank most of my beer paid bill and headed out.Next time; we will see.
Quality has gone down. The temp of the beer is lukewarm. But i guess it saves a few bucks on the electric bill. Service was sub par and the size of the kid portions are smaller. Once again I guess it saves a few bucks on the food bill.
Bean Dip. While the food is mediocre, the bean dip is to die for with just the right amount of kick.
Good Food. If you are going to order a Caesar Salad or prefer a place that speaks only English but go to a Mexican restraunt regardless, then don’t waste our time with a silly review !! Otherwise, this place has some decent Mexican and New Mexican food with a pleasant atmosphere. Yep, I would go here again and i would take friends again, too.
