Love their high standards of quality.. I stop in to Mr Chao at least once a week, never disappointed. All dishes are excellent, fresh and hand made from scratch. After chatting with the owners they are very concerned that every dish is freesh and tasty. Love the pecan prawns.
Good food, cool staff.
Not good. After the BBQ Pork appetizer that had a gelatin like consistency we decided to leave after taking one bite of the Thai basil chicken. Food was uninspired and was below average.
Egg foo young. Not on the menu but if you ask nicely when they’re not busy Mr. Chao makes the BEST Egg Foo Young I’ve ever had!!! The gravy isn’t mostly flour or gelatin to thicken, it’s a nice dark rich delicious compliment to the huge thin patties. I was startled at the price the first time they made it for me but have happily returned again & again since that first taste!!
Fairly Expensive but worth it. For a Chinese restaurant, Mr Chao’s is fairly expensive. However, the quality of the food makes it worth the extra. The decor is good and I would even consider this place for at least a semi-special occasion.The food has really good flavor and a nice touch is that they have brown rice at no extra cost.The only negative that I have is that the menu is a little limited.
Poor Choice. I didn’t want to drive all the way to Pei Wei so I thought I would try something closer to home. Bad decision. Not only was the bill about $15 more for about the exact same selections, but the flavors were very bland. Although my wife liked the Mr Chao’s chicken, the remainder was dry, flavorless and overcooked. I threw away about half of our order. No yummy leftovers tomorrow 🙁 🙁
