The ambience is very cozy. I saw a lot of families there and working professionals. I will review and rate the food as we go- 1. Shrimp Tempura: enough for 2 people – 6 shrimps per portion. Crispy and very professional. 2.5/52. Squid salad: enough for 3 people . Has some lovely shreds of mushroom and radish 4/53. Seafood Katsura curry : enough for 2 people … 5 variety of fish, curry and rice are served together . 3.5/54. Soft shell crab with soft boiled egg (sushi) – one person can eat this. Tastes very good too! 4/5
During the lunch hour I purchased an 8 piece Spicy Chunky Salmon Roll to go, for my wife, who was in a rehab center in the neighborhood. I guess raw fish is usually not served in a medical facility around here, maybe in Japan ;)The salmon tasted fresh and it was an attractive roll, $8 well spent as I wanted to increase her protein intake. I tasted it and there was plenty of fish in small chunks, good wasabi and pickled ginger slices, rice, etc, an attractive package. Kudos to the young man behind the counter working with an older man, probably his mentor. The small staff was friendly and appeared efficient. I will return to try other menu items.
We have dined here. The waitresses and the guy who makes sushi behind the counter are absolutely rude. I thought Japanese people are very courteous by mature….not true here. They don’t give a hoot if there are hungry kids at our table. No service for 20 minutes after we were seated today. We just left!!!
Good sushi for good price. Service is slow but they were nice. Will go again for sure.
Great food, terrific prices. More than just sushi.
Great food! The rolls here are worth the price. They are a lot bigger than other places.
GOOD FOOD, HORRIBLE SERVICE. The food is delicious. really genuine japanese cuisine. but otherwise it is not worth your time or money. although alot of it is cheap, so is the service. they only hire people from the family and the servers are unqualified. You walk in for dinner and wait for 20 minutes to be seated, after seeing 5 tables open. then it takes 20 more minutes just to get a drink! another 30 minutes later and you finally have your food. The food is great! but when you want to take leftovers home they make you put it in the box. Even with soup! my family goes all the time and we never learn. if only the food was as horrible as the service. once my family asked them to pour the ramen into a bowl to take home, and one of the girls poured it over and on my aunts lap! its rude and shameful. if you want good food but horrible service, go ahead!
