Best Sandwiches. Bertha’s Cafe is the best for sandwiches. The Asparagus Panini is wonderful. All fresh food and friendly service. Comfortable seating on the patio or inside.
Berthas. Like the other posts, everything is delicious ,fresh, and plentiful. If they would only smile once in a while…
In a word, DELICIOUS!!
Good Breakfast Sandwich. I had the sausage, egg & cheese on an english muffin for brunch today. I had it to go. The sandwich was large compared to your average breakfast sandwich at McDonald’s or BK. Overall, it was great. Large egg and sausage patty with plenty of cheese. I ordered a coffee to go, which was decent coffee. The cafe had a nice clean atmosphere and the cashier was friendly.
Great cafe. My hubby and I tried this place out last weekend. The atmosphere was cute and cozy. Decor is very rustic and inviting. The food was tastefully prepared. He had the chicken pesto sandwich and I had a tuna sandwich with the chopped salad. I agree with one of the other reviewers when they said this is not just your run of the mill salad. The salad was packed with flavor and delicious! We will definitely be enjoying this little spot again.
Great Soup,Sandwiches & Salads. My only complaint about Bertha’s is it isn’t open past 3:30 on weekdays and 2:30 on Saturday’s. I love the fact that they close on Sunday. The homemade soups and sandwiches are first class at reasonable prices. The salads are not your boring lettuce and tomato. They are creative and flavorful. The homemade dressings have just the right amount of whatever is needed to make you want to come back for more. If you go for lunch, be prepared to stand in line for a bit to place your order unless you go early. It can be crowded. A couple of tables are available outside if you want to brave the heat or are eating when the weather is nicer. It can get noisy inside when they are packed to the gills. I like to eat local, and this is one of my favorites.
Hidden Gem. I used to be able to walk to Bertha’s and was sad to have moved away. As a vegetarian, the Asparagus and Havarti Panini is one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. And their cheesecakes are absolute heaven!
